Take a tour of the University Library and discover its 600-year history and famous architecture. Look behind the scenes and learn about its role as a Legal Deposit (copyright) library.

All tours will include a visit to the Reading Room, closed access book storage areas and the Legal Deposit department.

Mentoring and Networking: How to make it work

Join this talk of panellists, featuring guest speakers Dr Amy Iversen,  Director of Habe Consulting Limited, Professor Jeremy K. M. Sanders CBE FRS, Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Institutional Affairs, and others, who are engaged with and supporting new and existing initiatives around mentoring.

The panel will discuss what mentoring is and how you might go about locating and engaging with a mentor, or perhaps even what it might be like to be a mentor. This is also an opportunity to hear from internal staff who have recently been involved in developing mentoring schemes and what the University hopes to develop.

This is a Brown bag event – please feel free to bring your own lunch during this session.

Stress and Eating Habits

Morwenna Jones is a student at the University of Cambridge, graduating this year.  Having struggled with eating disorders for most of her adolescence, she will be talking about her experience of coping with a mental illness while at university.

She will also talk about the pressures facing students and the impact of social media on young people today.
